Description:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Database Administrator with strong SQL and database management skills. The database administrator will participate in design reviews and interface with software engineers to provide input and guidance regarding schema design and query optimization. This position will also lead the ongoing development of our warehousing and reporting infrastructure.

Requirements:

• SQL Server 2005 64 Bit.
• Clustered environment (Active/Active ) with SSRS reporting and SSIS packages
• LiteSpeed for SQL Server 2005
• Monitoring SQL Server backups, jobs, and error logs daily.
• SQL Server performance issues and tuning – including running SQL Profiler
traces.Designing hardware requirements
• Installing and deploying all require SQL servers and service packs.
• Planning / analysis skills. Support very large data databases (TBs).
• Defining database specifications and diagrams for new and existing database
systems.
• Development and optimization of database structures, stored procedures, views,
triggers and user-defined functions.

Responsibilities:

Be able to ensure databases in all environments (QA/staging/production) were performing in an efficient and optimized manner. Be able to manage all databases and SSIS packages. Support day to day activities. Create indexing scripts, rebuild or reorganize indexes and optimized tables. Perform daily tasks using SQL Server 2005 tools like SQL Server Profiler, SQL Server Agent, setup operators alerts and Database Engine Tuning Advisor. Refresh QA and Staging environment with production database, and setup security levels of access. Troubleshoot SQL related issues, monitored databases, scheduled jobs and set up maintenance plans. Proactively monitor the performance of SQL Server databases and space utilization for all SQL servers.Implement and maintain SQL Reporting Services for various reporting jobs.
