Description

Firstlook Drupal Developers are part of the Media Properties team, utilizing the Drupal API to solve for business needs in creative and novel ways. Individuals in this role must be conceptual thinkers yet highly executional; collaborating from the earliest stages through the entire project life cycle. Our Drupal Developers own feature development, building community-driven and social networking functionality following Drupal coding and Web Standards to achieve consistent, compelling online experiences.

Firstlook is dedicated to the Drupal platform. We invest heavily in a robust, redundant backend maintained by specialized staff: your code will be running on serious muscle in a high-traffic, high-availability environment. Best of all, we have fun and are open to new ideas and approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Build features to specifications using combination of contributed and custom module code
• Plan and execute migration of acquired sites to Drupal platform per business needs and product plan
• Support experienced designers in theming using Drupal's PHPTemplate engine
• Work with Director and teammates establishing best practices and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize risk

Requirements:

• Working knowledge/experience using the Drupal API
• Expert-level PHP (4/5) skill with strong knowledge of SQL relational databases
• Excellent attitude and personal skills, be committed and focused
• Experience using SVN code control
• Strong communications skills
• 4+ years professional coding experience
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering a plus
• jQuery and XML-RPC experience a huge plus!
